Located in Minster, Kent, this 732-year-old chapel surrounded by 35 acres is less than a mile from the picturesque East Kent Coast and, from May 2023, only over an hour from London on the highspeed train.

Surrounded by 35 acres of rustic wildness and considered landscaping, the centuries-old estate provides a unique backdrop for relaxing, entertaining, and celebrating in the most private country settings.
Built-in 1290, over seven hundred years old, Chapel House resides at the heart of the Estate. A boutique, supremely comfortable converted chapel with a timeless appeal that no one wants to leave, the house provides a restful retreat on the night of your wedding or event. All five bedrooms have an interior designed and considered for luxury and comfort, effortlessly capturing the inherent charm and character of the historic house and its stunning gardens.

We understand that you only want to share your wedding with those you love, so each venue location is exclusively yours for the duration of your day, or you can choose to make the whole secret estate yours for 24 hours.

Within the sprawling paddocks, in addition to the Chapel House (sleeps 10), there is a Beauty & Massage Lodge, plus nine Hideaway Lodges (sleeps 18 plus children) and Chapel Cottage (sleeps 6) on the edge of the estate. The onsite accommodation (sleeps 34) combines contemporary design and understated luxury, perfect for you and your guests.
The Chapel House Estate also boasts a rustic converted barn, the Old Malt Granary, for gorgeous indoor ceremonies any time of the year, and a state-of-the-art purpose-built large Banqueting Barn (Thorne Barn).
With panoramic views, beautiful formal gardens, a wild apple orchard for outdoor ceremonies and blessings, and a secluded walled courtyard with a lounge bar and private chef table, No 9 Restaurant Chapel House hosts an unforgettable destination experience.

Whether you’re planning an exclusive small, intimate wedding in the Walled Courtyard, a grand large wedding, blessing or celebration, a romantic Twilight wedding, or a last-minute late availability wedding, our facilities are designed to meet your needs.
